Built to Last

Recently I invited guest artist, Amee Hinkley, up to the studio to work on a collaboration.  Amee is a talented painter and a sorceress on the sewing machine.  She has loads of ideas on furniture, but has never made any.  We  had been talking for some time about co creating furniture in shapes of boulders.   We decided to start the boulder project with a table.  Here are some images of the process of making “lego” the table.

This year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair, Scandinavia’s biggest annual design event, reeled in the crowds, as always. The main fair halls may have been a little quieter than usual, but an array of exciting work on show in the Greenhouse, the fair’s well renowned student and newcomer section, kept the masses inspired and entertained.
